The 1st 2 pictures are a crepe. Crepes are not supposed to be dark. Manager said they could remake it but it would be the same since the Crepes come in every morning. Over all horrible food and poor manager service.

My daughter brought me to the Whistling Kettle for my first visit today. Had the Three Tier meal and it was amazing. The sweet potato chili is soooo flavorful . The scone desert with two dipping sauces delicious. Filled me up so brought my sandwich on a scone home for dinner . Staff very nice.

Having the kitchen open to the dining space means that every yell, dish scrape, and cooking sound can be heard while I was dining. Not the worst but made for a chaotic experience. I ordered afternoon tea with the broccoli quiche, kettle salad, and a lemon scone. The quiche was actually very good, but the salad had barely any toppings just a couple slices of cabbage, two cucumbers and two grape tomatoes. My biggest complaint is with the scone and the cream pitcher that came with my tea. The cream came in a little ceramic pitcher that was DIRTY on the inside with old cream 🀒 The scone was horrendously sweet and undercooked. It tasty of raw flour and the dough was uncooked in the center. The scone came with cream and jam. I was expecting clotted cream but instead it was some sort of vanilla yoghurt situation. Overall the dessert tier was so so so sweet and couldn’t even be saved by the tea. It’s a bummer bc the quiche was such a good start :/

Love this place! Free parking is available nearby, and Jay Street itself is a fun area to explore, perfect for something to do before or after your visit. While it can be a bit pricey, the portions are generous, and the drinks are excellent. The variety of tea options is especially impressive, so if nothing else, come for the tea! The morning and afternoon tea combos are a must-try and usually what my friends and I go for. Expect to spend around $25–$30 per person, but it's worth the splurge. The tea, as previously mentioned, is so good. Warning, they do not have lattes of any sort. Just French press coffee, as a non-coffee drink, I don't mind at all. Service was amazing! Go early for better deals and a table. This place gets busy on weekends, especially on Sundays, with the farmers' market. The atmosphere is also great, but it does get rather loud. Only 1 bathroom for the establishment, so a line will form. Overall, great spot! Check it out.

Though there was a bit of a wait. My party of 6 enjoyed everything they ordered. I got the bacon, chicken, and roasted red pepper savory crepe. The Happy Quencher was very good, too. The Ballstonian was enjoyed by my sister.
